Gary Lindley - Chair


Mr. Lindley is retired after a 30 year career as a dedicated teacher in the Ontario public school system. He has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education Degree. He also served for three years as the Treasurer of the local Teachers Federation. He has been a strong credit union supporter for over forty years, and has been a member of Peterborough Community Credit Union since 1976. He currently serves as Board Chair for PCCU. Gary has served on the PCCU Board for over 17 years.


John Rutkauskas - Vice Chair


Mr. Rutkauskas is a Certified General Accountant. He was controller of Cherney Bros Limited, which operated 6 Home furnishing stores in Central and Eastern Ontario for many years. John received his education in Lithuania, Austria, and Canada. He is currently Vice Chair on the Board for PCCU. He has been actively volunteering for many years in the following capacities: President-Peterborough Concert Association, Commander- Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron, President- Kiwanis Club of Peterborough, Lieutenant Governor-Kiwanis (Division 10), Chairman of Employment & Counseling Peterborough, President-Ontario Music Festivals Association, Chairman- Peterborough Kiwanis Music Festival, Currently- Treasurer for Kiwanis Music Festival.


Brian Hickey - Corporate Secretary


Mr. Hickey has been a member of Peterborough Community Credit Union since 1951, and an area resident for 57 years. Brian currently owns his own handyman business offering interior and exterior renovations. He was previously employed with Bradbury Construction, specializing in custom built homes and cottages. Brian has also worked in other industries in Peterborough, serving in management capacities, including supervision and administration at Westclox. He has been an active community volunteer for over 30 years, serving as coach, organizer, and executive positions for old timer’s hockey, minor hockey, and baseball. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is Director of music ministry and guitarist at St Anne’s Church in Peterborough. Brian is the longest serving active Board member for PCCU. He is a Past Chair of the Board and is currently the Board Secretary. Brian is married to Lynn and they have 3 Children and 5 grandchildren.


Charles Coleshill - Audit Committee Chair


Mr. Coleshill was born in England, where he started his career in the banking field. He continued his career in banking after moving to Canada and remained in that field for twenty years. Then he began a new career working for the Ontario Government, as a Senior Examiner of Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires, for nine years. Then he moved into forensic accounting, examining companies for the Ontario Government for another 12 years. Charlie is now retired, and has served on the Board for Peterborough Community Credit Union since 1997. He is currently the Chair of the Audit Committee. Charlie and his wife Margaret enjoy their retirement surrounded by their children and grandchildren.


Jack Connolly - Director


Mr. Connolly has been an active Director of Peterborough Community Credit Union for over 9 years. Now retired, Jack enjoyed a successful thirty six year career in the Financial Services and Insurance sectors. He serves on the Audit, Personnel, and Policy Review Committees. Jack was also the Chairperson for the Succession Planning Committee for PCCU in 2008. He also served on the Planning Board for the City of Peterborough, and he served on the City of Peterborough’s Culture and Heritage Board for 10 years. Jack and his wife Gloria have lived in Peterborough since 1969, and have two children and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.


John Gould - Director


Mr. Gould is an Accredited Public Accountant. He graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. After running his own accounting business for many years, he is semi- retired, and helps his wife Norma continue running their Accounting Business in Peterborough. He has been a member of PCCU for many years and has assisted with annual audits for the credit union in the past. John and Norma are active volunteers and currently serve on the Bridgenorth Beautification Committee.


David Heuft - Director


Mr. Heuft and his wife Anne have operated Titles Bookstore, here in Peterborough for the past 22 years. The store has grown from 750 to the present 2200 square feet, and relocated three times to get to the present store on George Street. It has morphed from a children’s specialty store to a full family book store. Prior to bookselling, they spent three years with United Mission to Nepal, working in economic development through apprenticeship training. After graduating from Ottawa University with an MBA, Dave worked for ten years with Crossley Karastan Carpet Mills Ltd., in planning and systems development. Dave is serving his fourth term as a Director on the PCCU Board. Dave and Anne have three sons, and after many years, now have three daughters.


George Mitchell - Director


Mr. Mitchell retired in 1995 from Peterborough Civic Hospital as Chief Medical Laboratory Technologist in Microbiology Division. Recently, he retired from Trent University where he was a part time faculty member. George was previously elected to Peterborough City Council where he served for two terms. He is also a Board Member for The County-City Health Unit for 12 years, and he is presently a member of The City-County Disaster Trust Fund Committee. George has been married to his wife Eleanor for 47 years, and they have two daughters, both members of the nursing profession. They have five grandchildren.


Roger Pitt - Director


Mr. Pitt has been a credit union member for over forty nine years and a member at Peterborough Community Credit Union since 1975, when he and his wife Valerie moved here from Sudbury. Roger has served on several boards and committees in his role as educator. He has also coached numerous teams at the minor level and in church leagues. He has been an active participant and executive member of many local clubs and volunteer organizations. Now, retired, Roger is involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, is a member of the New Horizons Band. He also serves on the Provincial Health Services and Insurance Committee for the Retired Teachers of Ontario. He is past Chair of the Board of PCCU and Past President of Retired Teachers of Ontario (Peterborough District). Roger and Valerie have two grown children; David, currently a professor at Lorus College in Dubuque Iowa, and Kim, Manager of Corporate Sales & Forecasting for Novo Nordisk, Canada.
